State Coordinator for Immunisation Demand Generation Pilot

About the role

The State Coordinator will lead day‑to‑day implementation of the Immunisation Demand Generation (IDG) pilot in Nasarawa State, acting as Evidence Action’s primary field presence. You will work closely with state, LGA and health‑facility stakeholders to ensure high‑quality delivery and capture field‑level learning.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily implementation of the IDG pilot, applying technical guidance and SOPs.
• Support state government in finalising local implementation arrangements, including selection of LGAs, wards and facilities.
• Oversee digital reminder activities, collecting caregiver data and providing feedback on content and delivery.
• Manage community ambassador processes – nomination, recruitment and engagement.
• Coordinate targeted incentives such as transport support and integration of SQ‑LNS where applicable.
• Provide orientation and training for state, LGA and facility staff.
• Support monitoring, learning and evaluation, sharing findings with the Program Manager and government.
• Represent the programme in state‑level coordination meetings and maintain regular communication with government focal points.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, social sciences, community development or related field.
• 3–5 years experience implementing public‑health or behavior‑change programmes at state/LGA level in Nigeria, preferably in immunisation, maternal‑child health or nutrition.
• Familiarity with health system and government structures in Nasarawa is an advantage.
• Experience working directly with communities, health‑facility staff and routine data collection.
