State Coordinator for Immunisation Demand Generation in Oyo

About the role

The State Coordinator will lead day‑to‑day implementation of the Immunisation Demand Generation (IDG) pilot in Oyo state, acting as Evidence Action’s primary field presence with state, LGA and health‑facility stakeholders. You will translate programme guidance into high‑quality field activities and feed learning, risks and needs back to the Program Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily implementation of the IDG pilot with state and LGA structures, applying technical guidance and SOPs.
• Support digital reminder, community ambassador and targeted incentive components, including data collection, ambassador recruitment and transport support.
• Provide regular progress updates, flag risks and challenges, and contribute to monitoring, learning and evaluation activities.
• Engage with state government focal points, attend coordination meetings and maintain relationships with health‑facility staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, social sciences, community development or related field.
• 3‑5 years experience implementing public‑health or social‑behavior change programmes at state or LGA level in Nigeria, preferably in immunisation, maternal‑child health or nutrition.
• Familiarity with Oyo state health system and government structures is an advantage.
• Hands‑on experience working directly with communities, health‑facility staff and community health workers.
