Dental Nurse – Full‑time Position in Lagos

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Dental Nurse to support safe, efficient and compassionate dental care in our Lagos clinic. The role involves preparing treatment areas, assisting the Dental Surgeon, and ensuring high standards of infection control.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare dental surgeries, instruments and materials before patient appointments.
• Assist the Dental Surgeon during examinations and procedures, anticipating clinical needs.
• Welcome and reassure patients, explaining routine aspects of their visit.
• Follow clinic procedures for cleaning, sterilising, storing and tracking instruments.
• Maintain a clean, organised and stocked treatment area.
• Support infection prevention, health and safety, and clinical waste procedures.
• Record relevant information in patient notes while maintaining confidentiality.
• Provide patients with post‑treatment instructions approved by the clinician.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages or equipment faults.
• Coordinate with reception and clinical staff to support patient flow.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Dental Surgery Assisting, Dental Nursing or a related oral healthcare field.
• 3–5 years of experience supporting dental care in a clinic or similar setting.
• Registration with the Dental Therapists Registration Board of Nigeria and a current practising licence.
• Current nursing registration and licence if the position requires practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Training in infection prevention, sterilisation and basic life support is an advantage.
