Star Development Coordinator - Abuja

About the role

The Star Development Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, training and onboarding Jaza Stars (sales agents) for new sites in the expansion pipeline. The coordinator owns the entire process, making sure the recruited Jaza Stars are competent and trained enough to manage the hubs and meet company goals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the recruitment process (advertising, interviewing and hiring) of Jaza Stars whose goals match the company's goals for the new sites.
• Own the training and evaluation of selected Jaza Stars and keep training materials up to date.
• Follow onboarding procedures and file all required documentation.
• Advertise open Jaza Star positions for new expansion sites widely.
• Monitor the number of interested candidates and ensure they meet the criteria for interviews and training.
• Arrange interviews and training for each site in the expansion process.
• Conduct interviews, classroom training and on-site training, and identify training needs and recommend updates to training materials.
• Flag additions or changes to classroom and on-site materials for the QA Expansion Operations team.
• Complete onboarding actions such as registering Jaza Stars on the dashboard and setting up their accounts on the Star App, preparing and uploading signed contracts, and uploading the recruit registry.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in any related field.
• Previous experience in roles involving rural talent acquisition.
• Ability to use local networks, community connections and local job boards to find candidates.
• Experience conducting in-person interviews and assessing candidates for technical skills and cultural fit in community-oriented rural settings.
• Ability to work independently, interact with people of different backgrounds and travel frequently to remote locations.
• Familiarity with local languages or dialects is a strong asset in remote areas.
