Spa Therapist

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Spa Therapist to join our Marriott hotel in Lagos. The role involves delivering high‑quality massage and body treatments to guests, ensuring their comfort, safety and satisfaction throughout the experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide massage services and body treatments such as scrubs, wraps and hydrotherapy using appropriate props and products.
• Assess guest needs and check for contraindications (e.g., allergies, high blood pressure, pregnancy) before each service.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and treatment room, sterilize tools, and manage linens and supplies.
• Escort guests to and from treatment rooms, monitor comfort, and adhere to scheduled appointment times.
• Promote and sell spa and retail offerings in line with Marriott standards.
• Handle inappropriate guest behavior according to Marriott’s SOPs and report any safety incidents.
• Keep up‑to‑date with current techniques, maintain required licensure and complete safety training.

Required profile

• Current licensure or certification as a spa/massage therapist as required by local regulations.
• Ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods and lift objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
• Professional appearance, clear communication skills and a commitment to guest confidentiality.
• Team‑oriented attitude and willingness to follow company policies.

• Sanitation and sterilisation of spa equipment.
