About the role

The Restaurant General Manager will lead the day‑to‑day operations of our restaurant in Gwarinpa, Abuja. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving sales and profitability, and upholding the safety and cultural standards of Skyline International Tourism and Hospitality (SITH) and Yum.

Key responsibilities

  • Champion Yum and SITH’s culture and values.
  • Act as a role model, providing leadership and coaching to the team and management.
  • Ensure implementation of employee, customer and visitor safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide training and resources so staff can perform their duties safely.
  • Manage the restaurant in line with company policies, targeting customer satisfaction, sales, operating efficiency and profit.
  • Achieve hospitality standards by exceeding expectations for product, service and restaurant upkeep.
  • Implement controls to protect the security of employees, company funds and assets.
  • Coordinate recruitment and selection of team members using company systems.
  • Implement training programmes for staff and managers to meet required standards.
  • Monitor performance and take corrective action when needed.
  • Identify and develop talent as part of bench‑planning for the brand.
  • Forecast and schedule labour, semi‑variable costs and food & packaging expenses within budget.
  • Ensure tasks are performed only by employees certified for those duties.
  • Keep the Area Coach informed of competitive activity that may affect results.
  • Report employee relations, customer service and attendance issues to the Area Coach.

Required profile

  • Proven leadership and coaching experience in a restaurant environment.
  • Strong knowledge of safety, security and food‑service regulations.
  • Ability to manage budgets, forecast labour and control costs.
  • Excellent communication skills and talent‑development capability.
  • Experience in recruitment, training and performance management.
  • Commitment to upholding company policies and hospitality standards.
