Software Engineering Manager

About the role

Software Engineering Manager leading multiple agile teams to deliver web, mobile and SaaS solutions in a hybrid role based in Lagos, Nigeria.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and manage several agile teams of engineers, team leads and product managers.
• Define strategic initiatives, timelines and delivery plans for web‑based services.
• Oversee a portfolio of diverse technology projects, providing web, mobile and integration solutions.
• Drive architectural decisions, guide cloud‑based SaaS development and ensure high‑quality code.
• Engage with senior leaders to align vision, priorities and product quality.
• Prioritize workload, manage resource allocation and champion engineering excellence throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 4+ years of software engineering leadership experience, including SaaS architecture and cloud deployment.
• 4+ years using Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• 1‑3 years building consumer web and mobile applications.
• 2‑4 years of people‑management experience with a track record of building high‑performing teams.
• Strong understanding of security concerns for SaaS platforms and mitigation strategies.
• Proven ability to participate in code reviews, drive architectural decisions and influence technical direction.
