Business Intelligence Analyst

About the role

The Business Intelligence Analyst will transform data into actionable insights that support strategic decision‑making for the African Medical Centre of Excellence. You will design data models, build dashboards, and ensure data integrity while supporting the institution’s mission to deliver world‑class healthcare.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and integrate data from multiple internal and external sources, ensuring data quality through validation and cleansing.
• Design and implement data models, perform complex analysis and predictive modeling to uncover trends and support operational efficiency.
• Develop interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik, delivering clear visual insights to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with leadership to define KPIs, support forecasting, budgeting, and data‑driven strategic decisions.
• Maintain compliance with data protection regulations, implement data governance standards, and support audit activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in data analytics, business intelligence or a related field, preferably within the healthcare sector.
• Strong analytical and statistical skills with a solid understanding of data governance and compliance standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with BI tools: Tableau, Power BI, Qlik (or QlikView).
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with Python or R for data analysis and modeling.
• Expertise in ETL development and data pipeline management.
• Familiarity with cloud‑based analytics platforms such as AWS or Azure.
