Social Media & Digital Growth Officer

About the role

A retail store selling consumer electronics such as laptops, phones and accessories is looking for a Social Media & Digital Growth Officer to take full ownership of its digital presence, build an engaged online community and generate sales through social media. The role reports directly to the CEO and is based in Ikeja, Lagos, on a hybrid arrangement with flexible work-from-home options.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and run data-driven social media and digital growth strategies for consumer electronics, laptops and mobile devices.
• Create conversion-focused content (videos, graphics, copy) mainly for Instagram and TikTok, with secondary management of Facebook, X (Twitter) and LinkedIn.
• Manage pages, comments and direct messages to turn inquiries into sales.
• Plan and run campaigns and promotions that drive brand visibility, quality leads and sales.
• Track platform metrics and campaign performance, report sales leads to the CEO and optimise strategies based on data.
• Stay up to date with social media trends, platform updates and digital marketing best practices in tech retail.

Required profile

• Minimum HND; strong experience is accepted even without a formal degree.
• At least 2 years managing social media accounts or digital marketing campaigns.
• Any industry background is acceptable; prior tech or consumer electronics experience is a plus.
• Proactive, self-driven, analytical and results-oriented with a strong commercial focus.

Required skills

• Content creation, copywriting and storytelling.
• Deep knowledge of Instagram and TikTok, and of Facebook, X and LinkedIn.
• Running digital advertising campaigns is an advantage.

• Net salary of N400,000 - N600,000 per month.
