Site Maintenance Controller – Brewery

About the role

The Site Maintenance Controller supervises and controls all site services at the brewery, ensuring safe operations, risk control, and compliance with environmental regulations. The role also manages building and grounds maintenance, liaises with local authorities, and oversees civil engineering aspects of the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and healthy working environment and comply with safety, health and environmental legislation.
• Maintain, repair and optimise brewery buildings and associated civil engineering devices.
• Inspect and maintain plant, equipment and buildings through established processes.
• Plan and prepare maintenance jobs, including plant shutdowns, and allocate tasks to artisans or contractors.
• Continuously improve the appearance and functionality of civil engineering assets.
• Allocate and plan building‑related maintenance tasks and manage budget allocation.
• Work effectively in teams, communicate clearly, and contribute to self and team development.
• Apply VPO principles and practices in all work activities.

Required profile

• National Diploma with 3‑5 years experience in a brewing and bottling production environment.
• Formal training in risk control and management, with experience at Risk Control Officer level.
• Knowledge of civil engineering and mechanical systems, as well as accounting principles for stock control.
• Experience managing others and sound knowledge of security standards and procedures.
