Senior Technical Consultant – VMware Cloud Foundation

About the role

MBCOM Technologies, the exclusive VMware representative for Africa and several other regions, is looking for an experienced Senior Technical Consultant to deliver VMware Cloud Foundation 9 (VCF) solutions to enterprise customers. You will work closely with technical leads, architects, project managers and customer teams to ensure successful implementation, validation and hand‑over of private‑cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver end‑to‑end VCF projects, from installation to production hand‑over.
• Execute technical designs and implementation plans provided by architects.
• Install, configure, validate and troubleshoot VMware solutions (VCF 9, vSphere, vSAN, NSX, HCX, VKS, automation tools).
• Participate in discovery workshops, technical discussions and customer meetings.
• Perform health checks, upgrades, migrations and operational optimisation.
• Produce and maintain project documentation, implementation guides and knowledge‑transfer material.
• Support pre‑sales activities, effort estimation and technical reviews when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 6+ years of hands‑on experience implementing and supporting VMware infrastructure solutions.
• Relevant VMware and Broadcom certifications (VCP‑VCF, VCAP, VCDX, VKS, etc.).
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or similar Kubernetes certifications are a plus.
