Senior Sales Engineer

About the role

The Senior Sales Engineer will drive sales of engineering products and lubricants across Nigeria, building strong customer relationships and delivering technical solutions that meet client needs. You will act as a trusted technical consultant, combining sales expertise with deep product knowledge to achieve revenue targets.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve sales budgets and revenue targets for assigned brands and industry segments.
• Develop new business opportunities and grow lubricant sales in the Nigerian market.
• Maintain and expand relationships with existing and prospective customers, providing professional follow‑up and technical advice.
• Conduct site surveys, recommend suitable engineering products and lubricants, and support product demonstrations and exhibitions.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly sales reports, monitor market trends and competitor activity.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to negotiation and closure, ensuring a minimum gross contribution margin of 30%.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of B2B direct sales experience in FMCG, F&B, manufacturing, engineering, construction or related sectors.
• Proven track record selling industrial machines, compressors, pumps, valves, conveyors, bearings, belts, industrial lubricants and engineering spare parts.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or engineering environment with strong sales performance.
• B.Sc. or HND in a related discipline; additional qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is a plus.
