Senior Officer, Transformation Portfolio Management

About the role

The Senior Officer, Transformation Portfolio Management will join the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) of Save the Children Nigeria. Reporting to the Head of Transformation Portfolio Management, the role supports the delivery of the organisation’s transformation agenda through portfolio‑wide governance, reporting and tooling. The incumbent will act as the PMO business partner for a subset of transformation projects, ensuring consistent processes and high‑quality documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide training and coaching to Project Managers and Project Leads on the use of project‑management tooling and best practices.
• Maintain and improve PMO dashboards and reporting at both project and portfolio levels.
• Support projects to develop project‑specific dashboards and reporting mechanisms.
• Oversee change request management, ensuring standard procedures and impact assessments are applied.
• Act as a liaison between IT, Transformation Delivery and the PMO to ensure clear ownership of change requests.
• Coordinate and maintain all PMO documentation and repositories, keeping best‑practice content up‑to‑date.
• Identify and implement continuous‑improvement opportunities in tooling, reporting and document management.
• Assist the Head of Transformation Portfolio Management with portfolio governance and strategic oversight.
