Senior Motion Designer + Video Editor

About the role

Hire Africa is looking for a Senior Motion Designer + Video Editor to lead video production and motion design projects for international clients and creative agencies. The role is fully remote, based in Egypt or Nigeria, and combines strong technical ability with creative leadership. You will produce high-quality video content and motion graphics, oversee a junior creative professional, and take ownership of projects from brief to final delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead video editing and motion design projects from concept to final delivery.
• Edit videos for brand campaigns, corporate communications, digital advertising and social media.
• Create 2D motion graphics, animated typography, transitions and visual effects.
• Manage and mentor a junior video editor or motion designer, delegating tasks and giving constructive feedback.
• Handle colour correction, audio editing, sound design and post-production.
• Work from creative briefs, storyboards and brand guidelines, collaborating with international teams.
• Establish efficient creative workflows and maintain consistent quality.

Required profile

• Strong professional experience in video editing and motion design, with a portfolio showing senior-level capability.
• Demonstrated experience leading creative projects, mentoring juniors or directing other designers' work.
• Commercial, corporate or agency-level creative work; independent interpretation of briefs.
• Excellent written and spoken English and ability to work with international teams.
• Nice to have: experience with UK, US or European agencies, managing a small creative team, employer branding or corporate storytelling videos, and Cinema 4D, Blender or other 3D software.

Required skills

• Advanced Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Visual storytelling, pacing, typography, animation and composition.
• Reliable internet connection and a professional remote working setup.
