Senior Manager, Green Growth

About the role

The Senior Manager, Green Growth will lead Murty International’s Green Growth practice in Nigeria, overseeing strategy development, client delivery, and team growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day operations of the Green Growth team, mentoring analysts, consultants and external specialists.
• Develop practice service offerings, tools, templates and delivery standards, and maintain a repository of deliverables.
• Manage end‑to‑end delivery of climate strategy, low‑carbon development, sector transition roadmaps and related technical workstreams.
• Produce client‑ready reports, policy briefs, strategy documents and presentations, ensuring analytical rigor and quality.
• Lead climate finance diagnostics, readiness assessments, budgeting, MRV framework design and carbon market advisory.
• Conduct climate risk, vulnerability and adaptation assessments, and support sustainability, ESG and decarbonisation initiatives.
• Identify new client opportunities, develop proposals and engage government agencies, development partners, investors and civil society.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in climate, green growth, sustainability, climate finance, carbon markets or related fields.
• Proven experience leading advisory assignments for governments, development partners, DFIs or corporates.
• Strong understanding of Nigerian or broader African development and public‑sector contexts.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cross‑functional teams and multiple assignments under tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Expertise in climate strategy development and sector transition planning.
• Proficiency in climate finance readiness, budgeting and carbon market mechanisms (e.g., Article 6, MRV).
