Senior Manager, Financial Reporting

About the role

Flutterwave is looking for a Senior Manager, Financial Reporting to lead the preparation and consolidation of financial statements across its subsidiaries. The role ensures compliance with IFRS, local statutory requirements and internal control standards while driving automation and process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual close processes for multiple entities, ensuring accurate journal entries and reconciliations in NetSuite.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements under IFRS and deliver them to stakeholders on schedule.
• Maintain schedules for fixed assets, pre‑payments and other balances, and ensure robust audit trails.
• Coordinate interim and annual audits, liaise with external auditors and secure timely sign‑off of audited statements.
• Ensure compliance with local regulators such as CBN, FRCN, SASRA, Bank of Ghana and FSCA.
• Develop and enforce group accounting policies, implement new IFRS standards and provide technical guidance to subsidiaries.
• Drive automation, standardisation and improvement of reporting, reconciliation and close processes, partnering with IT and FP&A to enhance NetSuite, Oracle and Power BI tools.
• Collaborate with Treasury, Tax and FP&A on foreign‑currency translation, hedging disclosures and regulatory filings.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in financial reporting, consolidation and statutory compliance for multi‑entity organisations.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, local GAAPs and SOX‑type internal control frameworks.
• Proven ability to manage audit processes and interact with regulators.
• Excellent analytical, communication and leadership skills.
