About the role
The Recovery Agent will engage with individuals and businesses that have overdue accounts, aiming to secure repayments while maintaining professional relationships. This full‑time position operates from our Marina office serving Port Harcourt and the wider Rivers State area.
Key responsibilities
- Contact debtors via phone, email, formal notices, or face‑to‑face meetings to discuss overdue balances.
- Assess each debtor’s financial situation and negotiate repayment plans, lump‑sum settlements, or revised terms within authorized limits.
- Conduct skip‑tracing and asset investigations using public records, credit registries, and background tools to locate hard‑to‑reach debtors.
- Maintain accurate logs of communications, defaults, settlements, and transactions in the collection management system.
- Identify non‑responsive accounts for legal referral, prepare case files, and coordinate with legal counsel or enforcement officers.
Required profile
- Minimum qualification: Higher National Diploma (HND).
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar debt recovery or collections role.
