Senior Legal Counsel – Corporate & Regulatory Law

About the role

The Senior Legal Counsel will provide strategic legal advice to the Board, senior management, and business units of Stretch-it Concepts Limited. This role focuses on mitigating legal risk, ensuring regulatory compliance, and protecting the company’s intellectual property.

Key responsibilities

• Advise the Board, Management, and Business Units on legal matters and develop risk‑mitigation strategies.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts such as SLA, software licensing, reseller, JV, partnership, and confidentiality agreements.
• Manage the company secretarial function, including preparation of board papers, organizing Board/Committee meetings and AGMs, and drafting minutes.
• Liaise with external counsel and regulators, ensuring timely filings and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a compliance dashboard and prepare quarterly legal and compliance reports for the Board.
• Oversee the Data Protection portfolio for the Group and ensure data privacy across regions.
• Register and protect the company’s intellectual property rights and source code.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Law (LL.B) and Master of Laws (LL.M).
• Membership of a recognized legal institute (e.g., ICSAN, Chartered Governance Institute) and qualification as a Barrister at Law (BL).
• Minimum 10 years (120 months) of relevant legal experience, preferably in IT & Telecoms.
