Senior Design Architect

About the role

The Senior Design Architect is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Lagos, responsible for leading architectural design projects from concept through completion. The role supports Gtext Holdings’ business goals across residential, commercial and mixed‑use developments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and mentor design teams, ensuring high‑quality architectural output.
• Develop, review and refine design concepts, detailed drawings and construction documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, construction teams and external partners to align designs with schedules and budgets.
• Present design proposals to internal leadership and external stakeholders.
• Maintain design quality standards and contribute to long‑term design strategy and innovation.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in architecture and architectural design with a proven track record on medium to large‑scale projects.
• Design management experience, including leading multidisciplinary teams and ensuring timely delivery.
• Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) and relevant licensure where applicable.
• Experience in real‑estate development and familiarity with Lagos building codes is an advantage.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with attention to detail and a commitment to sustainable design principles.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit.
• Advanced proficiency in SketchUp or similar design tools.
