Senior Associate, Reliability and Incident Response

About the role

Flutterwave is looking for a Senior Associate, Reliability and Incident Response to join its Service Enablement & Governance team. The team governs incident, change, release and service management while driving the implementation of strategic capabilities. The role balances day-to-day operational governance with long-term automation and reliability initiatives, helping mitigate operational risk, ensure service continuity and build the Service Catalogue, SLO frameworks and AI-assisted operations.

Key responsibilities

• Govern incident, change, release and overall service management processes to minimize operational risk and ensure rapid recovery during disruptions.
• Assist in rolling out and managing strategic engineering capabilities, including the Service Catalogue and Service Level Objective (SLO) frameworks.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort by developing automation, self-service tools and AI-assisted operational workflows.
• Strengthen operational controls and resilience through adherence to reliability engineering and incident response best practices.
• Work with engineering, product and support teams to improve service reliability and meet operational standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 4+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Incident Response or DevOps roles.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes, especially Incident, Change and Release Management.
• Experience defining, measuring and reporting on SLOs and SLIs.
• Ability to stay calm and coordinate under pressure during incidents, and to turn complex technical incidents into clear executive summaries and post-mortems.
