Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Ibadan, supporting the manufacturing and warehousing operations of Estrada International Staffing Solutions. The role involves overseeing financial reporting, compliance, budgeting and leading junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Manage the general ledger, perform account reconciliations and oversee month‑end closing activities.
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and statutory requirements, including tax filings and external audits.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning, analysing performance and identifying cost‑optimization opportunities.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, drive process improvements and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACA, ACCA or equivalent is highly preferred.
• 5–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or FMCG.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, budgeting and internal controls.
• Excellent analytical, leadership and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
