Finance Associate

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Associate to join our team in Ibadan. You will support daily financial operations, ensure accurate cash flow reporting, and help maintain robust financial documentation across our agriculture business.

Key responsibilities

• Process approved daily payments for vendors, staff and services, ensuring timely execution and accurate reconciliations.
• Record all financial inflows, including customer payments, grants and internal transfers, and perform bank reconciliations.
• Enter and categorize expense data on vendor sheets, maintaining structured records for audit purposes.
• Assist the warehouse team with end‑of‑month stock counts and reconcile inventory values with financial records.
• Match sales orders with received payments, cross‑checking sales platforms, bank statements and inventory data.
• Compile income and expense data into a live dashboard, compare actuals to budget forecasts and flag variances.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
• Strong understanding of accounting concepts and financial reporting.
• High level of accuracy, integrity and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience with inventory or warehouse financial processes is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Google Sheets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, dashboards).
