Senior Accountant (Construction)

About the role

The Senior Accountant will oversee core accounting activities, ensure accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements for the company.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Maintain accurate general ledger and perform reconciliations.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
• Review accounting entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Support audits and regulatory inspections.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
• Monitor project cost tracking, expense control, and revenue recognition.
• Supervise and mentor junior accountants and bookkeepers.
• Improve accounting processes, templates, and documentation.

Required profile

• BSc in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional accounting certification (ICAN/ACCA).
• 5–8 years of accounting experience, including senior or supervisory roles.
• Experience in construction or project‑based organisations is an advantage.
• High integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
