Security Operative – Hotel Security in Abuja

About the role

The Security Operative will safeguard the hotel environment in Abuja, ensuring the safety of guests, staff, and assets. This full‑time position requires vigilant patrols, rapid response to incidents, and collaboration with local authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol hotel premises, including lobby, guest floors, parking areas, and back‑of‑house facilities.
• Monitor CCTV systems, alarm panels, and access control equipment.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms, theft, disturbances, or accidents.
• Enforce hotel policies, rules, and safety regulations.
• Control access to restricted areas and conduct bag checks or vehicle inspections as needed.
• Maintain accurate daily security logs, incident reports, and investigation records.
• Escort guests, staff, or valuables when required for safety.
• Support fire safety protocols by checking fire alarms, extinguishers, and emergency exits.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.

Required profile

• Minimum Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent; security training or certifications are a plus.
• Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military, or hospitality security.
• Strong physical fitness, alertness, and ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent observation, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• High level of integrity, discretion, and reliability.

Required skills
