Sales Trainer – Mobile Installment (BNPL)

About the role

The Sales Trainer will design, deliver and continuously improve training programmes for sales agents and field supervisors who sell Flexi’s Mobile Installment (BNPL) product across retail shops nationwide. The role ensures that all sales personnel have the product knowledge, sales process expertise and customer‑service skills required to meet aggressive acquisition and revenue targets.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct onboarding and refresher training for Sales Agents, Sales Managers and Regional Managers.
• Identify skill gaps and create targeted interventions to boost sales performance.
• Develop training materials such as manuals, PowerPoint presentations, SOPs, sales scripts and assessment tests.
• Facilitate classroom, virtual and field‑based training sessions and provide on‑site coaching at retail outlets.
• Monitor training effectiveness through assessments, field observations and performance tracking.
• Analyse sales data and recommend improvement plans for under‑performing teams.
• Support new product launches with specialised product training.
• Run Train‑the‑Trainer sessions for supervisors and regional trainers.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations and Management to align training with business objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Education or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in sales training, field coaching or commercial capability development, preferably in fintech, micro‑finance, telecom or consumer‑lending.
• Proven track record of training high‑volume retail sales teams or promoter networks.
• Strong knowledge of consumer credit, BNPL models and mobile device financing.
• Excellent presentation abilities and comfort delivering training to large groups.
• Willingness to spend significant time in retail outlets and travel across regions.
