Sales Business Development Officer

About the role

BazaaLive is looking for a dynamic Sales Business Development Officer to join our team in Ikeja. You will play a key part in expanding our live digital marketplace by onboarding new sellers and buyers, generating leads, and driving platform adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and onboard potential sellers and buyers to the platform.
• Conduct market research to uncover new business opportunities.
• Develop and execute lead‑generation strategies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants, creators, and influencers.
• Generate leads and convert prospects into active platform users.
• Deliver presentations and product demonstrations to prospective sellers.
• Represent BazaaLive at trade fairs, exhibitions, and networking events.
• Assist in organizing promotional campaigns and activation programs.
• Collaborate with product and operations teams to improve seller experience.
• Track sales activities and submit periodic performance reports.
• Achieve assigned business development and onboarding targets.

Required profile

• Strong analytical skills for trend identification and data‑driven insights.
• Excellent communication abilities for client and internal interactions.
• Proven experience in lead generation and market research.
• Customer‑service focus with a relationship‑building mindset.
• Proactive, self‑motivated, and results‑oriented.
• Familiarity with sales strategies or business development processes.
• OND, HND or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
