Route-to-Market FMCG Sales Lead

About the role

A local agro-commodities distribution startup, which has traded for 10 months and generated over N65.2M in sales across 4,071 orders, is expanding its field sales coverage along the CMS to Epe corridor. It needs an experienced Route-to-Market FMCG Sales Lead to scale and tighten its presence.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation and optimisation of route-to-market strategies across assigned territories and distribution channels.
• Monitor market coverage, product availability, distribution efficiency and channel performance to spot gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Analyse distributor, wholesaler, retailer and customer performance to support channel management and commercial decisions.
• Monitor the effectiveness of existing routes, territories and distribution models and recommend adjustments based on market dynamics.

Required profile

• B.Sc. / HND in Marketing, Sales or another relevant discipline.
• Over 3 years of relevant field sales experience, preferably in the FMCG industry.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of route-to-market principles, distribution models, van sales and channel management.
• Solid understanding of FMCG sales and distribution operations across Lagos commercial corridors.

What we offer

• Guaranteed base salary of N150,000 per month, plus performance bonuses and wholesale profit sharing, reaching N250,000+ per month.
• Operational roadmap: Month 1 hands-on ground activation; Months 2-3 building a team of Field Sales Reps; Month 4 recruiting a sub-Field Manager.
