Rotating Equipment Mechanical Evaluator – Oil & Gas

About the role
The position is for a senior Rotating Equipment Mechanical Evaluator supporting a well‑known oil & gas client in the Middle East. The role focuses on the maintenance, reliability and technical evaluation of critical rotating machinery across multiple sites.
Key responsibilities
- Perform hands‑on maintenance and reliability assessments of pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers and gearboxes.
- Conduct vibration, oil and thermography analyses, as well as laser alignment checks.
- Apply RCM and CBM methodologies to develop and execute reliability improvement projects.
- Lead root‑cause failure analysis (RCFA) and generate actionable recommendations.
- Prepare technical evaluation reports, competency assessments and training plans for the workforce.
- Ensure compliance with API 610, API 617 and API 618 standards.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of hands‑on experience in oil & gas rotating equipment maintenance.
- Proven track record in troubleshooting, RCFA and reliability projects.
- Strong communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and mentor junior engineers.
