Relationship Officer – Merchant Acquisition

About the role

FairMoney is seeking a motivated Relationship Officer to acquire new merchants and generate revenue for its transaction finance business across Abia, Port Harcourt, and Uyo.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies to acquire new merchants and generate revenue.
• Identify new business opportunities and create plans to capitalize on them.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
• Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Conduct market research to identify potential customers and trends.
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations to potential customers.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with merchants.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Operations teams for seamless customer experience.
• Monitor and analyze sales performance and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field (preferred).
• At least 2 years of experience in sales, business development, or a similar role.
• Experience in the transaction finance industry is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with CRM systems.
