Relationship Officer - Dawakin Kudu MFB

About the role

CredPal's Microfinance Bank Dawakin Kudu Limited is looking for a full-time, mid-level Relationship Officer to drive customer acquisition, deposit mobilization and loan disbursement in Dawakin Kudu. The officer identifies new business opportunities, onboards customers and meets aggressive sales targets while keeping portfolio quality high.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and onboard new individual and SME customers, build a client pipeline and expand the customer base locally
• Own monthly sales targets for deposits, loans and revenue, track daily activity and report on performance
• Build customer relationships, support satisfaction and retention, and identify cross-selling opportunities
• Source quality loan opportunities, conduct basic customer assessments, complete credit documentation and monitor repayments
• Maintain high-quality loan bookings, flag early warning signs, support recovery of overdue accounts and keep PAR/NPL levels low
• Understand local market dynamics and competition, and give market feedback to the bank

Required profile

• Minimum OND/HND or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• 3-4 years of experience strictly within a microfinance bank in sales or business development
• Proven track record in deposit mobilization and loan origination in a microfinance setting
• Strong understanding of local markets, SMEs and the informal sector in Kano State
• Ability to meet and exceed aggressive sales targets; must live in Kano State, preferably near Dawakin Kudu

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of credit assessment and risk management
