Regional Sales Manager (FMCG)

About the role

Century Industrial FZEL is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to drive revenue growth, expand market share and optimise distributor networks in assigned territories in Nigeria (Lagos, South East or North Central, depending on business needs and candidate profile). The role suits a seasoned FMCG professional who manages a core team of 6-10 people and indirectly directs a field force of over 100 sales and distribution staff.

Key responsibilities

• Design and run regional sales strategies, own monthly, quarterly and annual sales and revenue targets, and find new business opportunities
• Analyse market trends, competitor intelligence and consumer demand to adjust strategy
• Manage, mentor and evaluate 6-10 regional sales professionals, set KPIs, run performance reviews and lead recruitment and onboarding
• Provide indirect direction to 100+ field staff through team leaders and distributors
• Build partnerships with distributors, wholesalers and major retailers, set joint business plans and improve product availability, merchandising and promotions
• Resolve channel conflicts and supply chain bottlenecks
• Track performance, submit sales forecasts and territory reports, and manage the regional sales budget

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or a related field
• At least 5 years of FMCG sales experience, including 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role
• Prior experience in a multinational or Tier-1 FMCG organisation
• Proven regional territory management, distributor development and field force operations; managing 6-10 direct reports is highly desirable
• Willingness to travel extensively within the region
