Recruitment Lead – Fintech Payments

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing fintech company focused on payments solutions in Africa, is looking for a Recruitment Lead to own and drive its talent acquisition strategy. Reporting to the Global Head of People, you will partner with functional leaders, hiring managers and People Partners to attract top‑tier talent across multiple functions while delivering an exceptional candidate experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute full‑cycle recruitment processes for a variety of roles and seniority levels.
• Collaborate with leadership to forecast hiring needs and develop workforce planning.
• Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline through proactive sourcing, networking and employer‑branding initiatives.
• Manage relationships with external agencies, job platforms and recruitment tools.
• Track recruitment metrics, produce regular reports and provide insights to senior leadership.
• Represent the company at job fairs, networking events and other branding activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in HR or recruitment within fast‑growing tech start‑ups or scale‑ups.
• Proven track record of sourcing and hiring niche or hard‑to‑find talent.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Adaptable, comfortable working in multicultural environments and passionate about people‑related challenges.
• Data‑driven decision‑making mindset and continuous‑learning attitude.

Required skills

• Advanced sourcing using LinkedIn, job boards and social media.
• Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems, preferably Teamtailor.
• Ability to analyse recruitment data and metrics.
