Quality Control Officer – Food Production

About the role

The Quality Control Officer ensures that every food product prepared in Bukka Hut’s Central Kitchen and Pastry meets the brand’s strict quality, safety, hygiene and consistency standards before it reaches the outlets. You will work closely with kitchen staff to monitor processes, validate critical control points and prevent quality defects.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect incoming raw materials for freshness, packaging integrity and compliance with SOPs.
• Verify supplier documentation such as certificates of analysis, shelf‑life and specifications.
• Monitor all production stages, checking recipe measurements, cooking times, temperatures and portion accuracy.
• Enforce hygiene practices for staff, equipment, utensils and workstations.
• Conduct organoleptic analysis (taste, texture, colour, appearance) on finished products and approve or reject batches.
• Validate packaging, labelling, batch coding and storage conditions before dispatch.
• Maintain accurate quality logs, CCP documentation and report non‑conformances.
• Support audits, internal inspections and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience in food quality control or a similar role within a restaurant or food‑service environment.
• Strong understanding of HACCP principles and SOP compliance.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
