Purchasing Supervisor

About the role

The Purchasing Supervisor is responsible for managing inventory, processing deliveries, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards within the food and retail areas of the hotel. This role supports the team by maintaining accurate records and assisting management with employee development.

Key responsibilities

• Print, organize, and distribute necessary documents while maintaining up‑to‑date safety program knowledge.
• Calculate inventory figures, conduct audits, and notify managers of low stock levels.
• Receive, unload, verify, and process deliveries; reconcile shipping invoices and receiving reports.
• Monitor PAR levels for food items, refuse damaged or incorrect deliveries, and oversee return processes.
• Assist management with training, scheduling, counseling, and motivating employees.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related purchasing or inventory experience.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.

Required skills

• Ability to read and verify information in various formats.
• Physical capability to lift and move items up to 50 lb and navigate confined spaces.
