Programmes Lead

About the role

The Programmes Lead will drive the planning, coordination and delivery of all AVHF initiatives focused on women’s reproductive health, community outreach and support. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures programmes align with the foundation’s mission and strategic priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan and implement health and community programmes from concept to completion.
• Monitor, evaluate and document programme outcomes, ensuring learning and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate stakeholders, partners, staff and volunteers to achieve programme objectives.
• Prepare regular reports, maintain compliance and uphold quality standards.
• Support grant writing, resource mobilisation and fundraising activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Social Work or a related field.
• Residency in Abuja, Nigeria and legal eligibility to work in Nigeria.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in programme coordination, nonprofit management or community development.
• Experience in health, reproductive health or women’s health programmes is an advantage.
• Strong project management, organisational and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
