Programme Officer – Resource Mobilization & Partnerships

About the role

The Oando Foundation is seeking a Programme Officer to lead its resource mobilisation and partnership agenda. You will design and execute strategies that attract financial and technical support, while strengthening relationships with donors, government, private sector and civil society.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a 3‑year resource mobilisation plan aligned with Foundation targets.
• Manage engagement with the Private‑Sector Advisory Group, focusing on education‑cluster initiatives.
• Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities; prepare proposals and concept notes.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date stakeholder database and handle partnership inquiries.
• Build and sustain relationships with grant‑making bodies, high‑net‑worth individuals, companies and community groups.
• Coordinate high‑level meetings and research activities to support mobilisation priorities.
• Support the Communications team in using media channels as fundraising tools.
• Design grant‑making policies, review applications, conduct due diligence, and monitor grant‑funded projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience in resource mobilisation, fundraising or grant management.
• Strong understanding of donor landscapes and fundraising legislation.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship‑building abilities.
• Ability to conduct research, prepare high‑quality proposals and manage databases.
