About the role
The Program Officer – Research, Policy & Data Insights will support the design, implementation, analysis, and reporting of research and programmatic initiatives. You will help strengthen the organization’s capacity for evidence‑based programming and policy engagement.
Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of programs and projects.
- Conduct desk reviews, literature reviews, and data analysis to generate actionable insights and policy recommendations.
- Prepare high‑quality research reports, policy briefs, concept notes, donor reports, presentations, and other knowledge products.
- Develop dashboards, data visualisations, and reporting tools to communicate complex data and program outcomes.
- Strengthen data quality, monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) processes.
- Collaborate across units to document lessons learned, identify trends, and promote evidence‑informed decision‑making.
- Perform other duties that support the organization’s mission and strategic objectives.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Public Policy, Statistics, Development Studies, Data Analytics, Economics, Political Science, Research Methods or related fields.
- 3‑5 years of relevant experience in research, policy analysis, program analysis, data analytics or similar roles within non‑profit, development, research, consulting or social impact settings.
- Experience working with datasets, dashboards, surveys, reports and programmatic data analysis.
- Strong organisational and collaboration skills; ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, gender, social impact or youth‑focused programming is an advantage.
