Production Shift Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Shift Supervisor to lead daily operations on the manufacturing floor. The role ensures that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Receive daily job orders from the Production Manager and ensure targets are achieved.
• Act as SAP Key‑User: create material requisitions, post daily production, monitor stock levels and resolve COGI issues.
• Monitor raw and packaging material inventories to prevent shortages or waste.
• Verify product weight accuracy and enforce strict compliance with SOPs and GMP/HACCP procedures.
• Maintain 5S standards throughout the shift and ensure equipment operates at optimal OEE.
• Coordinate with Maintenance and Engineering to analyse breakdowns, secure critical spares and minimise downtime.
• Oversee accurate stacking and dispatch of finished goods to stores.
• Lead daily production meetings, prepare reports and liaise with Quality Assurance and regulatory agencies.
• Promote safety awareness and participate in the Accident Prevention Program.

Required profile

• HND/BSc in Operations or Production Management (or related discipline) with relevant professional certification a plus.
• Minimum seven years of progressive supervisory experience in food/beverage processing or FMCG manufacturing.
• Proven experience working with ERP systems, especially SAP.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, organic handling procedures and statistical process control.
