Procurement Manager

About the role

The Procurement Manager will lead the company's sourcing activities, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. This senior role involves managing supplier relationships, driving cost‑reduction initiatives, and overseeing a team of procurement professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
• Direct sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, and contractual management of suppliers.
• Supervise and develop a team of procurement officers and analysts.
• Identify and pursue cost‑reduction opportunities while maintaining quality and compliance.
• Establish and maintain productive relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
• Monitor market conditions and assess supplier risk for sourcing decisions.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with policy and statutory requirements.
• Liaise with finance, operations and other departments to forecast procurement needs.
• Compile procurement reports and present performance metrics to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Economics or a related field.
• Master’s degree (MBA or MSc) is advantageous.
• Professional certification such as CIPS, CPSM or CPP preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement or supply chain experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role.
• Proven experience in negotiating and managing supplier contracts.
