Principal PACO Engineer

About the role

The Principal PACO Engineer will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for the design, fabrication, installation and commissioning of PACO technologies on offshore and onshore assets. This senior position requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders, design contractors, JV partners and regulatory bodies to ensure technical excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple engineers and third‑party contractors within the PACO scope.
• Provide technical support for project interfaces with asset teams, design contractors, JV partners and regulators.
• Ensure design decisions comply with group standards, engineering manuals and HSE requirements.
• Deliver PACO technology benefits aligned with operational and maintenance philosophies.
• Drive HSE performance, maintain zero‑incident mindset and ensure design and technical integrity.
• Offer technical assurance on design points and secure required control‑point sign‑offs.
• Assist in developing a cost‑competitive team budget and promote waste‑reduction initiatives.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and contribute to best‑practice formulation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Membership of NSE and COREN.
• Minimum ten years of engineering experience (120 months).
• Experience with offshore platforms, FPSOs or onshore terminals is desirable.
