Pharmacist – Community & Hospital Support

About the role

Alpha Pharmacy is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Pharmacist to join its team in Lagos. The role combines community pharmacy duties with support for hospital‑based medication services, ensuring safe and effective use of both prescription and over‑the‑counter products.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense prescription and OTC medicines accurately and efficiently.
• Review prescriptions for clinical appropriateness, drug interactions and dosage correctness.
• Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects and adherence.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation in line with regulatory standards.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, including cold‑chain products, to prevent stockouts.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams for timely replenishment.
• Participate in medication safety initiatives and quality improvement activities.

Required profile

• Licensed Pharmacist holding a B.Pharm or Pharm.D.
• Proven experience in community pharmacy operations.
• Strong knowledge of drug indications, contraindications and side effects.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to respectful, gender‑neutral patient care.
