Performance and Digitalization Analyst

About the role

The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) is seeking Nigerian nationals for a Performance and Digitalization Analyst position at its headquarters in Ibadan. The contract is for 3 years and is renewable; the closing date is 6 November 2026. The role covers digital dashboards, data analysis, staff administration and digital content for the Facilities Management Section.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and continuous improvement of interactive dashboards and visual analytics in Power BI, delivering real-time insights on work orders, staff performance, projects and operational KPIs.
• Apply prompt engineering and generative AI to extract insights from workforce, project and operational data and give recommendations to the Head of FMS.
• Analyse data to identify trends, support evidence-based reporting and planning, and prepare staff requisitions and renew short-term and casual employee contracts.
• Use generative tools to write terms of reference, reports, correspondence, meeting minutes, presentations and other administrative documents.
• Maintain timesheets for temporary and casual employees and help submit monthly payroll documentation.
• Coordinate staff learning and capacity-building, prepare training materials and liaise with internal and external trainers on planning, delivery, logistics and evaluation.
• Create social media content and recommend digital tools and process improvements to boost operational efficiency.
• Support colleagues on data visualization and reporting, and prepare construction and project performance data for monthly management reports.

Required profile

• HND or B.Sc. in a STEM discipline.
• AWS Certified AI Practitioner (AIF-C01) or an equivalent professional certification from an accredited body.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in facilities management, corporate services, operations coordination or a research institute.

Required skills

• Crafting effective prompts and applying generative AI tools to operational and administrative tasks.
• Understanding of machine learning fundamentals and responsible AI, data privacy and information security.
• Data analysis, interpretation and visualization.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
