People and Culture Associate (HR Support)

About the role

The People and Culture Associate provides administrative and operational support to UNICEF's Human Resources functions in Abuja. Working under the supervision of the People and Culture Specialist, the role ensures timely and accurate delivery of HR services in line with UNICEF policies.

Key responsibilities

• Support business partnering activities across the office.
• Process entitlements and benefits for local staff.
• Assist in recruitment, placement and onboarding processes.
• Contribute to organization design, job classification and learning initiatives.
• Provide general office and administrative support to the HR team.

Required profile

• Completion of secondary education, preferably with technical or university courses related to the role.
• Minimum of 6 years progressively responsible administrative or clerical experience.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of another UN language or a local language is an asset.
• Demonstrated proficiency in HR principles, HR systems and computer literacy.
• Strong data extraction, operational problem‑solving and priority‑management skills.
