Administrative Assistant – HR, Asset & Logistics Support

About the role

The Administrative Assistant provides comprehensive support for human resources, logistics, fleet and asset management within the UNODC Country Office in Nigeria. Reporting to the Operations Officer and under the guidance of the Country Representative, the role ensures efficient, transparent administrative services.

Key responsibilities

• Support HR processes including recruitment, contract administration, leave management and staff entitlements using Umoja and FOHRM.
• Coordinate logistics activities such as shipments, customs clearance, travel, event management and office supply procurement.
• Oversee fleet operations, vehicle allocation, maintenance, fuel monitoring and accident reporting.
• Manage asset inventory, conduct physical verification, maintain the asset register and lead disposal procedures.
• Supervise junior staff, develop SOPs and prepare periodic administrative reports.

Required profile

• Experience in UN or similar international organization administration, HR, logistics or asset management.
• Strong knowledge of UN regulations, financial rules and procurement procedures.
• Ability to work collaboratively, maintain high staff morale and handle complex administrative issues.

Required skills

• Proficiency with UNODC’s Umoja HR system.
• Experience using FOHRM for staffing information.
• Familiarity with ERP‑based asset and inventory management.
