Operations Officer

About the role

The Operations Officer will support the smooth functioning of Main Service Logistics’ warehouse and shipping activities in Onitsha. You will be the first point of contact for customers and partners, ensuring timely service while maintaining accurate inventory records.

Key responsibilities

• Provide courteous, professional, and timely customer service to clients, visitors, and partners.
• Receive, unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against documentation.
• Arrange, label, and store goods in designated warehouse locations.
• Update inventory records accurately using the approved system.
• Manage stock in line with receipts, tags, and standard operating procedures.
• Conduct regular stock counts and report discrepancies promptly.
• Identify, document, and report damaged, missing, or tampered goods.
• Ensure compliance with safety, security, and warehouse operational guidelines.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and dispatch activities for couriers and customers.
• Perform other administrative and operational support duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum HND or equivalent qualification.
• Completion of NYSC is mandatory.
• Entry‑level candidates with up to 1 month of relevant experience are welcome.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
• High integrity, attention to detail, and accountability.
• Physical ability to perform demanding tasks when required.
