Senior Travel Consultant

About the role

As a pivotal member of Afari Travels, you will ensure seamless travel experiences for clients, addressing their needs from planning through the journey. You will also build lasting relationships by providing personalized assistance and support throughout the travel process.

Key responsibilities

• Organise end‑to‑end travel arrangements, including ticket, accommodation and transportation bookings.
• Conduct in‑depth research on destinations, prices, customs, weather and reviews to advise clients.
• Tailor travel packages to match client preferences and expectations.
• Handle booking confirmations, payments and maintain accurate financial records.
• Develop innovative travel itineraries and collaborate with clients on new package ideas.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience as a Travel Assistant or similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Travel, Tourism, Business or related field.
• Strong knowledge of travel trends, offers and destination information.
• Excellent communication, sales and presentation abilities.
• Professional attitude, appearance and multitasking skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer reservations systems and GDS platforms.
• Experience in e‑traveling tools.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite.
