Operations Manager

About the role

HOP Services Limited, a hospitality solutions and cleaning firm with over a decade of industry experience, is seeking an Operations Manager for its Port Harcourt operations. The role oversees day‑to‑day facility management, guest experience, and team performance to ensure consistent service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Direct overall day‑to‑day facility operations, ensuring seamless inter‑departmental coordination and consistent service delivery.
• Maintain high guest satisfaction metrics by handling inquiries, resolving complaints, and driving continuous service quality improvements.
• Supervise department heads, oversee staff scheduling and productivity, coordinate regular training sessions, and evaluate staff performance with HR.
• Monitor operational budgets, analyze revenues and expenses, implement cost‑saving initiatives, and support revenue‑optimization strategies across departments.
• Enforce hygiene, food safety, fire, and facility safety protocols, conduct safety training/drills, and ensure adherence to local labor laws and facility licensing.
• Manage building upkeep, coordinate with technical teams for equipment repairs, and oversee third‑party vendor/contractor agreements.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary degree or professional qualification in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in hotel operations, hospitality management, or facility management.
• Proven leadership and staff management capabilities, financial acumen, knowledge of facility health and safety standards, and strong problem‑solving abilities.
