Operations Manager (Engineering Products)

About the role

A highly experienced, commercially minded and hands-on Operations Manager with a strong engineering background is sought to oversee and coordinate the company's end-to-end operations, including sourcing, procurement, logistics, pricing, quotations and project support. The ideal candidate understands engineering products, technical specifications, supplier sourcing, cost evaluation and delivery coordination, and can manage several operational functions at once.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise all operational activities, including procurement, sourcing, logistics and project support, and improve performance through better procedures and workflows.
• Lead and supervise the Logistics, Sourcing and Pricing teams, assign responsibilities, coach team members and ensure adequate manpower and resources.
• Oversee sourcing, obtain and evaluate supplier quotations, monitor supplier performance and support negotiations for cost-effective procurement.
• Ensure timely delivery by monitoring shipments, addressing delays and coordinating with vendors, freight providers and customers.
• Review pricing strategies, prepare accurate quotations on time, monitor operational costs and support the Sales Team with pricing information.
• Work with the Sales Team to meet customer requirements, process orders efficiently, resolve operational issues and track project and order progress.
• Support ISO standards and quality management systems, take part in internal and external audits and keep records up to date.
• Prepare weekly and monthly operational reports, track KPIs and recommend process improvements.
