Operations & Business Development Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Operations & Business Development Manager to lead daily office, warehouse and event site operations for Skyprism Events in Ibadan. The role combines hands‑on technical event production with strategic sales and partnership development to drive growth and ensure flawless event delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across office, warehouse, and event locations, including technical setup, execution, and teardown.
• Manage DMX programming, rigging, lighting consoles and special effects while maintaining safety standards.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop sales pipelines, partnerships and referral channels.
• Coordinate van rentals, logistics, warehouse security, inventory, equipment maintenance and reporting.
• Handle client consultations, quotations, bookings, service coordination and payment follow‑up.
• Build and maintain relationships with event planners, venues, vendors and corporate clients.
• Supervise technical assistants, sales/admin assistants, casual technicians and event support staff.
• Act as the founders’ on‑ground representative in Ibadan, managing petty cash, expenses and operational documentation.
• Provide regular reporting to stakeholders via WhatsApp, Zoom, Google Drive and related tools.

Required profile

• HND or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Event Management, Marketing or related field.
• 5–7+ years of experience in operations, event management, technical production, sales or business development.
• Strong understanding of event operations, equipment handling, logistics and client service.
• Proven ability to drive business growth, manage client relationships and convert opportunities into revenue.
• Excellent communication in English and Yoruba, cultural sensitivity and strong leadership qualities.
• Valid Nigerian driver’s licence and willingness to travel across Southwestern states.
• Residence in Ibadan or immediate relocation willingness.

What we offer

• Monthly salary between NGN 150,000 and NGN 250,000.
• Fuel allowance up to $50,000 per month.
