OpenLMIS Technical Manager Consultant

About the role

VillageReach is seeking an experienced OpenLMIS Technical Manager Consultant to lead the implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of the OpenLMIS platform in Nigeria. The consultant will work closely with the National Primary Health Care Development Agency, implementation partners, and technical teams to embed OpenLMIS within the national digital health ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate OpenLMIS system configuration, customization, testing, rollout, and post‑deployment support.
• Translate user, business, and Ministry of Health requirements into technical specifications and implementation plans.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison between government counterparts, partners, developers, and support teams.
• Oversee helpdesk officers, manage ticket tracking, escalation, and performance monitoring.
• Design and deliver user trainings, develop technical documentation, and support knowledge transfer.
• Monitor implementation progress, risks, dependencies, and provide regular technical reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing OpenLMIS or similar health logistics information systems.
• Strong background in health information system integration and interoperability.
• Demonstrated ability to work with government agencies and multi‑stakeholder environments.
• Experience supervising helpdesk teams and delivering capacity‑building activities.
